Diverse people, diverse work

Volunteers are involved in almost all aspects of NEAD’s work — in , in , Information and .

NEAD volunteers are diverse in age, background, culture, skills and interests. We currently benefit from the skills, experience, enthusiasm, expertise and commitment of a pool of approximately 50 volunteers, from school-age students to retired senior citizens. Some work regularly, some occasionally, and others on specific or .

That such a broad range of people are attracted to work for global justice and equality is of crucial practical importance to us. We simply would not be able to deliver much of our work programme without them. It is also testament to the sense of urgency and desire to act that many feel when they look around our world.

Our volunteers provide sustenance to the whole organisation

Equally important, NEAD volunteers — diverse in background and circumstances but united by a sense of purpose and the will to contribute to positive change — provide vital motivation, inspiration and sustenance to the whole organisation.
