How you can get involved and make a difference
As a non-profit, membership-based organisation, we need your support. You could become a member of NEAD, make a donation, or become a volunteer — we couldn’t provide the level of services that we do without the help and support of our volunteer base.
Information about NEAD and getting involved is also available as a PDF file in the following languages:
Become a Member
Becoming a member of NEAD is a great way to support our work, keep in touch with our activities and access information on development issues. Members can borrow resources from both our library, and that of the Greenhouse. You will also receive three NEAD newsletters per year.
To join NEAD, please print out and complete our Membership Form (PDF, 594 KB), and return it to us with your remittance.
Make a Donation
As with all charities, NEAD has ongoing costs that cannot be fully met from project funding. In order to maintain essential core services (for example, the Resources Library), we need to raise unrestricted income. We welcome one-off donations, standing orders, or people organising fund-raising events on our behalf.
Volunteer
Please note that we are currently unable to take on any new volunteers.
Volunteers are involved in almost all aspects of NEAD’s work — in the community, in schools, Information and Resources.
NEAD volunteers are diverse in age, background, culture, skills and interests. We currently benefit from the skills, experience, enthusiasm, expertise and commitment of a pool of approximately 50 volunteers, from school-age students to retired senior citizens. Some work regularly, some occasionally, and others on specific projects or events.
Become a Member Become a member of NEAD and enjoy the benefits while supporting our work.
