Written by pupils at Peterhouse Primary School Gorleston, in a workshop with renowned singer, songwriter and performer David McAlmont.
The pupils had studied the effects of climate change on their coastal hometown environment as part of The Windmill Project. Year 5 and 6 pupils had creative input into every part of this original track. They wanted it to tell how they feel about flooding.
The piece was performed by the pupils, David and Guy the pianist for the Lord Mayor of Great Yarmouth and parents from the school.
We think it is an amazing piece of work for one day, as well as being VERY catchy.
You can also read David's blog entry about the day and view photos of what happened on Flickr.

Gabriel, from Rosemary Musker Hight School helped NEAD a lot when we put on a One World Day at his school. He created this Media Player presentation to show the school what the day was all about, and introduced it in a whole school assembly. The idea was to get everyone excited, but also to get them to invite their family, friends and local community along to an evening event where the school shared what they had been learning and what they had pledged to do as a result of the day. Gabriel also hosted the evening, alongwith a NEAD facilitator! The evening turn out was HUGE! ...what a star!

Global Messenger's USB pen-drive - latest version [ ]
-
This is the main file containing Global Messenger links and resources...
-
The USB pen-drive resource was developed as part of the Global Messengers project. The aim was to equip educators with all the resources that they would need to share or use for research in order to confidently tackle global issues in the classroom.
The project aimed to recruit special advisors as well as trainee teachers and other educators. It was more popular than expected and ended up incorporating students from the UEA (University of East Anglia)'s International Development programme, which in turn led to a new project: Student Global Messengers - although the project has formally finished it is still alive on Facebook as a platform used by Dev students to share resources which can be used within schools for workshops!
