The flagship game is Gifts to Latasica, exploring Sustainable Development at Key Stage 3 level. The game allows the player to explore the fictional village of 'Latasica', find out about the place, people… and problems.
The scenario is that your school, in Norfolk, links to Latasica for a year – what will you choose to do to try to make life better there, and make a lasting difference?
Popular for lower Key Stage 2+ is Wants & Needs, a game about Human Rights told through a migration journey story.
Also popular, Consequences, is a game of mixed up kids with mixed up stories... can you sort out who is who, then choose how their story will end.
The games were funded by DFID's Development Awareness mini-grant fund,. Partners have included interactivity developers, NUCA's Games Graphics course, volunteers and various local specialist organisations who fed back on the concepts of the games.
We encourage you to PLAY, to INVESTIGATE the issues, to take ACTION and then to SHARE whatyou have done as encouragement to others!
