NORFOLK connects to global issues
International Development. Migration. Climate Change. Trade. UK Aid
NEAD explores how the local and the global connect through justice & equality issues.
Highlighting links — cultural, environmental, economic, historic & causal — between people and the inequalities of our world. We promote ways global citizens can take informed action to make a difference at school, at home and in our community.
We stand for Norfolk Education & Action for Development.
We specialise in key global learning themes: Human Rights, Global Citizenship, Diversity, Sustainable Development, Social Justice, Conflict Resolution, Values & Perceptions and Interdependence.
NEAD — Working locally for global justice and equality
NEAD provides packaged or bespoke educational activities and training for teachers, schools & educators. We coordinate fully funded projects for schools, such as Global English. We produce curriculum-linked resources. We provide fast, expert signposting.
NEAD is supported by its members. NEAD Membership gives discounts on Services to Schools. Members can access information and educational resources (online / downloads, or to borrow for FREE from our Resources Library). Members also receive three NEAD Newsletters annually.
NEAD has a vibrant presence online, including a welcoming facebook community, twitter conversations, videos on NEAD's You Tube channel and photos on Flickr.
NEAD's office can be found in The Charing Cross Centre. Our interactive members' map shows it's location, in central Norwich, as well as the spread of our activities across the region.
Now 40 years old NEAD is the founder of a network of 35+ Development Education Centres across the UK, part of the Think Global group.
NEAD boasts Mark Thomas as a Patron, embodying the active, intelligent, questioning... sometimes cheeky, in good humour and spirit, approach of NEAD.
We look forward to talking to you!
